Hidalgo St. in Quiapo, Manila is known as “photographers haven” because you can find all camera brands, camera lenses and camera accessories with affordable prices. I remember when I was looking on where I can buy a Nikon D3000 DSLR camera. My first stop was in SM Mall of Asia. The price was way up high so I decided to look online. I stumbled upon a forum site that tells on where I can buy this camera at an affordable price compare to the malls in Manila. One of the members posted that Hidalgo street has all the brands of camera’s a photographer or hobbyist like me are looking for. So I went to Quiapo and started to look for a Nikon d3000. After an hour of searching, I finally found and bought my Nikon D3000 at Mayer camera store. The price is really affordable compared to malls and a lot of freebies were also given to me. So if your looking for a Canon, Sony, Nikon, Olympus and other brands then Hidalgo street in Quiapo is the perfect place for you. i was in quiapo 12/23/10 so freaking bad and disappointing, nag waste pa ako ng time and effort…kc daw mura dun sabi sa mga blogs.. wala na mura dun ,,ewan ko baka cguro xmas.. sa mayers ung canon 550d nila 41k w/ 3 years warranty …same prices lng pla cla sa mga malls..tapos masxado pa strict ung intsik dun na may ari (mang ramon yata pangalan ayon sa blogs).. kala mo kung cnu.. nagtatanong lng nmn ng mga prices…ang inientertain lng nila ung mga taong may hawak na pera na tlga at ung mga mukhang mayaman…(bad for business and customer relationship) ..pati rin sa henry nagtanong din ako same price.. tapos nag tanong ako kung meron ba clang item na walng warranty, cnungitan ba nmn akong sales lady kala mo nmn maganda.. bat daw ako naghahanap ng gray item… abay malay ko sa kanila., kung wla na clang ganun..buti pa ung isang store na di sikat i forgot the name kahilira lng ng avenue photoshop. may mahahanap kang canon 500d na 31k with 1 years warrnty tapos may tripod na (bait pa ng may ari)…kaso gusto ko tlga 550d,,sa mga gusto pumunta sa quaipo ..mag isip2x muna..
