Manny Pacquiao Denies Running for VP in 2016

Boxing champ and Congressman Manny Pacquiao denied his previous interview that he will stop boxing and will run as Vice President on 2016 election. Pacquiao said in a previous interview with DZBB, “Come 2016 I am going to run for vice president… no more boxing at that time.” But now Pacquiao clarifies that he will not run for VP because of his age. Pacquiao born on December 17, 1978 will turn 37 on 2016.
According to Commission on Election chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr., a candidate for Vice Presidency must be a natural-born Filipino citizen, a registered voter, able to read and write, at least40 years old.
